About 8 pm, Amanda's house
"Are vo mad?"
"Kurt, I could never be mad at you. I'm just confused. Does this have anything to
do with our relationship?"
"Oh, no Avanda. Zis decision has nothing to do vith vo or us. I do love vo."
"Just not the same way I love you. Anymore, anyway."
"I prayed vo vould vunderstand."
"H- Have you talked to anyone else about your decision?"
"Onvly Charles. And Fvame."
"Saw that one coming. I'm just glad you told me Kurt. Really."
"Ja?"
"Yeah. But.. If you don't mind, I think I'd like to be alone right now."
"Nien, liebchien, not at all. I am a phone call avay if vo vant to talk more."
"Alright. Goodnight Kurt."
"Guten Natch Amanda." Instead of abruptly BAMFing, he used the door. Then he BAMFed.
Amanda curled up on her bed and cried.
A few minutes after Kurt was back in his room, there was a tentative knock on his door.
He ported to the hallway outside his door.
"Ah, Fvame. Hov are vo?"
"I could ask the same, she replied, noting his expression. "I take it you told
her?"
"Yes, vut I'm afraid I'm not much in ze mood for company at ze moment."
"Understood. No problem, I'll just go mess with Cyke's head."
Kurt gave her a small smile as she left. He then BAMFed back into his room balcony.
Flame proceeded to bug Cyclops most of the night. Around 11pm, she got a visitor. Amanda.
"You knew!" she spat. "You knew he was going to leave me and you didn't tell me? What
kind of friend are you?!?!"
"I promised Kurt I wouldnt say anything until he was sure," Flame tried to explain.
"You're just jealous of us! You always have been! Ever since you two broke up-" Amanda
collapsed into tears. Flame held her friend and brought her up to her own room. Amanda was still crying as she spoke.
"A priest, Flame!" she sobbed. "Why a priest?!?"
"He said he felt it was a calling." She thought for a moment. "What else did
he say? God tugging at his heart. Look at it this way. He wouldn't have told you if he didn't really want to take this step,
heart and soul. He isn't messing with you."
Amanda sniffed. "Part of me wishes he was."
